Nokia ‘Gulp’

With the success of the film ‘Dot,’ a sequel soon came which would open up a whole new set of challenges. Having conquered the miniature world it was now a chance for Mr. Patterson to take on an idea of much bigger proportions. The new film, ‘Gulp,’ tells the simple story of a fisherman who ends up getting swallowed up by an enormous fish. The animation was again filmed entirely on the Nokia N8 but this time the phone would be 40 meters above the sand looking down onto the beach below. Such an accomplishment was awarded with another Guinness World Record; this time for the ‘largest stop-motion set in a film.’

The film went on to attract a vast amount of attention online as well as picking up several awards including a Cannes Lion and a British Arrow.
